Important Competition Rules Notice - 6th September 2006
COMPETITIONS: Failure to Appear or Return Scores
On a weekly basis various indiscretions result in cards/players being disqualified from competitions, this being mainly due to carelessness. As you know, the administration of the club is carried out on a purely voluntary basis and we ask that you continue to make your best efforts to support those involved by giving consideration to the following notes.
The Committee has considered the position of those members who fail to appear to play at their starting time and also those who fail to properly complete and/or return their cards and enter their scores in the computer.
Members failing to appear for their starting time are denying other members the opportunity of reserving a time on the competition entry sheet. Further, failure to return scores causes considerable administration time and effort in seeking to identify the missing cards or scores in order to complete the competition results accurately, thereby ensuring that the Competition Scratch Score accurately reflects the efforts of all who entered the competition.
Various notices have failed to improve the levels of missing cards, unsigned cards and scores not entered to the computer system and as a result the Committee has decided that from Saturday 16th September 2006 the following sanction will apply;
Any member persistently failing to either;
1) appear for the tee time reserved in their name
2) return their competition score card
3) enter their score into the computer
will be excluded from all competitions for 8 (eight) days following the date of the competition in which they failed to meet the required standard.

The following mandatory club rules remain and should be followed at all times;
No member should make multiple (more than two) entries to the competition entry sheet. Continued practice may result in members’ names being omitted from the draw.
All members must make their best efforts to complete their round. Scorecards must be signed by both marker and player. Continued failure to meet these standards may result in suspension from future competition.
When entering the competition please ensure you include your current handicap. This is important when producing the competition draw.
Anyone found to have deleted another members name from the competition entry sheet may receive an invitation to meet the Committee.
