28th May 2008 - Club Administrator Position

 

As you know, Gary Beck was appointed by the board as part time club manager. This appointment was agreed until the end of June 2008. During this period Gary has worked hard to clarify the full requirements of the office function within the club.

As a result the Board has decided to advertise the position of Club Administrator.

Ideally we are looking for a member with the club’s best interest at heart.

The duties will include;

  • Administration of club competitions, including Saturday draws, results, handicap adjustments, setting up competitions, and updating the notice boards, web site, and press.
  • Administration of the membership database including the issue of subscription letters.
  • Daily banking and weekly reconciliation of cash.
  • Handling of member queries and escalation to the Board
  • Providing general administration support to the Board
  • General office administration, including sorting of mail, managing email, managing the web site, and telephone messages.

Skills required:

  • Computer Literacy
  • Numeracy
  • Business Acumen
  • Organisation/Administration skills
  • Good Social Skills

As the hours of work are not fixed, we require a person with a large degree of flexibility, and some weekend work is essential.

The Captain invites applications from any member who feels they have the time, dedication, required skills and flexibility to fulfil this essential role within the club.

The successful applicant will receive an honorarium from the club, which will be determined by the Board.
