Retirement of Jock Johnstone

Retirement of Jock Johnstone

A stalwart of our greens staff, "Jock" Johnstone has decided that he has cut his final fairway at Craigie Hill . For the last ten seasons Jock could be seen on the fairway mower ensuring that they always looked their best.

Head greenkeeper, Stuart Robertson, paid tribute to Jock saying that he was always conscientious, highly knowledgeable in mechanical matters and will be a huge loss to the greenkeeping team.

Jock (80) called time on his duties at the end of the 2019 summer season and to mark his departure he enjoyed a lunch in the clubhouse on Friday with Stuart, Club Captain Crawford Conochie and Vice Captain/ Greens Convenor Steve Bissett.

He also received a Dobbies gift card as suggested by his son.

Jock leaves with the best wishes of The Board and all the Club members.
